I’m guessing everyone likes the sweet and sour sauce but not everyone knows how to make some. Today, we’d be going through the recipe and easy steps to make yourself some sweet and sauce without a.Sweet and sour sauce is actually really easy to make and needs just about the ingredients you have in your kitchen pantry.
What You Need.
Chicken breasts
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
1/2 cup of corn flour
1 tablespoon of diced ginger
1/2 cup of diced green bell pepper
1/2 cup of diced red bell pepper
1 cup of diced pineapple
Some ketchup
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup of water
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 cooking spoon of vegetable oil
Chicken seasoning
Salt
Additional spices to taste
Steps To Make Sauce
- Cut the chicken into small bits. Season with salt, chicken seasoning, dry pepper, garlic and leave to marinade.
- Mix the honey, ketchup and corn flour in a pot containing 1/2 cup of water.
- Leave the mixture to simmer on low heat for about 3-4 minutes while stirring every now and then.
- Coat your chicken chicken with some of the left over flour and deep fry.
- Using some of the oil from your chicken, add diced onions, ginger and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the diced bell peppers and pineapple and leave to cook for about a minute.
- When your sauce is ready, serve with some rice or pasta.
Try out these steps and you should have your sauce looking something like this.
